“We have just returned from Mozambique after 24 hours of travel. Thank you so much for organizing all that, it was fantastic! The Four Seasons in Johannesburg and the Sentidos resort were both outstanding choices, we were very happy with them. The service was great at both places and the accommodations very comfortable.
The diving in Mozambique was slightly disappointing, however, not because there wasn’t a lot to see (there was SO much marine life everywhere!) but because of the poor conditions: huge swells almost every day making 45-minute boat trips in a rib from dive site to dive site not very comfortable, and poor visibility making diving itself a bit frustrating. (We decided to forgo Freediving altogether after the second attempt because you couldn’t see anything from the surface.)
That being said, the entire trip was worth it, if nothing else, then for the fact that we had three days of whale shark encounters where we got to swim right next to a whale shark, and that’s something I’ve wanted to do my entire life.
We had wanted to try surfing as well but were just too exhausted after being up at 6 every day to go diving that we would often come back to the resort after diving followed by a late lunch and just spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and going through the day’s videos/photos.
If you ever do send other guests to Mozambique in the future, I highly recommend having them stay at Sentidos (not Too de Mar, we walked past it every day and it looked cheap) and having dinner at the Green Turtle (a restaurant run by a French woman close to Sentidos). We spent our last evening there and had the most delicious seafood.
Again, thank you for all your help in organizing this trip!”
All the best,
Christina
